  1. This is great! I have an outline of the post I was going to write today, and this is it! LOL! You read my mind, right down to the Casting Crowns song. Mind if I share this on my blog?

Oh, my goodness! I’m honored & blessed that you would. Feel free to. (Did you get my email?)

  3. Amen! Thank you for the reminder that all I need is God’s peace (and all I have to do to receive it is trust :)). god is so good–and I’m so glad that he’s in control of my children!

Yes, Anita … I agree. You have been tested in this and come through shining!

  5. Dianne – this post is packed with so much! Your theme of peace easily took us to our trust in God. You really hit me between the eyes when you said, you can’t have trust in God and be worried at the same time. Wow! That is a truth that I need to get a handle on for myself. My default action seems to be worry instead of trust. It is a process that I am working on and will continue to work on.

Your thoughts about how involved to be with your own teenage kids is a whole other level that you added to this post. That could be a post all by itself. Great words today!

I’m with you, Mary. It can be very difficult to trust God. I’m learning, too!

It is a full post, isn’t it! (I tend to do that from time to time!) And I do have another post “ready to go” about trusting our kids to God’s care … as I’m faced with that in another situation altogether … but the time is “not ripe.”

  7. Ah yes… Peace! It’s so needed… (and so available, but we have to let go of worry to grab hold of it!) Lately the Lord has been speaking to me about how Peace is a weapon. Much like how Worship is a weapon against the enemy, Peace that we have in God weilds much power and leaves the enemy without a means of attack! Great post!

I love your visual, Karrilee … To grab hold of peace, we must let go of worry. I’ve not thought about peace being a weapon! You are so right! Peace does wield power! Blessings to you, Karrilee!

  9. I am going to tell you that I have had trouble sleeping at night because I lacked peace. When I learned to trust the Lord in my circumstances, I slept much better, even when there was a lot of turmoil around me. Thanks for the reminder to trust in Him.

  10. Dianne Thornton says:

Sleeping well can certainly be an indicator of our trust, for sure. Thanks for coming by, Amanda! Blessings on your Christmas!

  11. This is such a wonderful post, a great reminder and it helps usher us to truth of God’s care for us. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Grace & Truth! I’ll be featuring this post for the next round of Grace & Truth!

    Oh, Holly! I’m honored & blessed! Have a grace-filled, peace-filled Christmas!
